Description Of Issue
Before I ran a QNAP TBS-453A with 4GB RAM and Roon was disconnecting from time to time because of too much memory consumption.
Now I switched to QNAP TS-EC1680U with 32GB RAM

Roon is running perfectly but I’ve seen after a few days RAM consumption is raising "Roon Server - Roon Appliance 9.7 GB!) is that OK?

Thanks Martin

Hi @Martin_Honeder,

Where are you seeing this RAM consumption?
On the QNAP or on a Roon Remote controlling the QNAP?

Can you please share a screenshot of the usage?
Are you doing anything IO heavy when this occurs, such as importing new albums?

Hi Noris
On the Qnap

“Speicher” Means RAM.

Hi @Martin_Honeder,

Hi Noris,
How can i upload the logs? 170MB

Hi @Martin_Honeder,

Just followed up via private message regarding this!

Hi Noris,
any solution for that behavior?
I Restarted the server 2 days ago. The RAm usage drops down to approx 2GB now we have 2.9 --> raises again.
Sincerely Martin

Hi @Martin_Honeder,

Thanks again for sending those logs over and for your patience while I had a chance to review.
Looking over your logs, they are completely filled with traces of Roon tying to mount //192.168.120.174/Multimedia and I believe this is what is causing the RAM to increase in this way.

Are you actively using this storage location? If this is an old storage location, not in use anymore, I suggest disabling it on Roon Settings -> Stoage and see if it helps with the RAM issue.

Ah, thx,
I’ve deactivated them.

but i’ll now delet them completely, let’s see what will happen.
