Random Disconnections from Nucleus Server (ref#4U6XVM)

Hi @Luis_Puncel ,

We are looking over your Roon Server diagnostics and we see a queue of over 5,000 tracks for the Music Room zone (Devialet Expert 220 Pro). Can you navigate to it in Roon zone picker menu → Queue → Clear queue? Let us know if this helps the Nucleus stop crashing.

Interesting, because I recently cleared the queue, and when I just looked now, it says 7 tracks remaining (plus Roon radio checked on).

Hello @Luis_Puncel

Thank you for the update.

We’ve released some improvements addressing potential memory leaks in our Early Access (EA) build. If you’d like to test it and share your results, you can follow this guide to join the EA program:

:link: https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/articles/roon-early-access-program#Moving_RoonOS_Nucleus__ROCK_servers_back_to_production

If you prefer to wait for the improvements in the next production release, feel free to let us know how things go after the update.

I am interested in enrolling in early access, but I don’t know how to execute the following instruction:

Navigate to the /Data/Reinstall directory on your Nucleus / ROCK.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @Luis_Puncel,

The process would be the same as the access to the Nucleus internal storage described here

In the Windows File Explorer, instead of using :

\NUCLEUS\Data\Storage\InternalStorage

You will need to use the path like this

\NUCLEUS\Data\Reinstall

Or you can use the IP address instead

\192.168.0.40\Data\Reinstall

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, when I enter that, I get the following message

I get a similar message when I use the IP address.

I have tried this from two windows computers running Windows 11.

I was successful by changing the initial \ to two back slashes. However, it will not accept my Roon credentials. Are there different credentials for the Nucleus?

Username Guest and password Guest also does not work.

I have successfully updated the Roon OS for early install. Please ignore the previous messages.

Hello @Luis_Puncel,

Thank you for the update. Please let us know if you see any improvements in the behaviour.

Hi @Luis_Puncel,

I haven’t had the disconnect issue for a while (crossing my fingers). Thanks, Luis

That is, I haven’t had the issue since I entered the early release program.

Thanks,

Luis
