Roon doesn't show all tracks on newly added local albums
**My setup**: Roon Server Machine: Windows 10, i3-12100, 8GB RAM All library on HDD on that PC.
Connected Audio Devices: Wired connected (ethernet with Bluesound Node) which does all the playback. Wireless connection to Android phone and laptop, just for occasional playback and as a remote for the Roon that playbacks on Bluesound Node.
Number of Tracks in Library: ~9.000 tracks
As always, I add a new album on the HDD of the Roon Server. It would always be shown on Roon normally (no missing tracks), no matter if it was identified, or not. After the last update, I've been having issues when adding a local album to Roon. The album is missing some tracks. In order to make it show all of the tracks, I have to manually restart Roon Server. Then, most of the times, it's fixed, but I have to do this almost every time.
Note: There has been just ONE case where the restart was not needed. I added a widely known album (Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon) and at first it was missing one track. A couple minutes later, it fixed itself. I didn't have to do anything. Still the issue with the missing track in the beginning, existed.
Note: There is no specific track that is missing. It feels like it's random. And I think that always it's just ONE track missing.
Describe your network setup
Starlink with Gen3 router Roon Core is connected with Bluesound Node through the router via Ethernet.
It was No, I turned it to Yes. But since the tracks appeared on their own again after I restarted the Server, then I cannot think that this could be the culprit in any way. I leave it to Yes, anyway.
No files have been skipped.
I guess were back to zero. I feel that this is consistently happening at ~50% of the albums that I have added.
Note: I cannot be sure that it’s related to the latest update or the previous one, since while in the previous update I don’t think that I have added any new albums…
If you try to navigate to Roon Settings → Storage → 3-dot menu and perform a force rescan, does that also complete the album without the need to restart Roon Server?
Just added a new one in order to try again. Yet the same thing occured. Track 6 is missing. @noris I tried Roon Settings → Storage → 3-dot menu and perform a force rescan yet nothing changed.
Important note: This has happened again during this period that this error has been happening. They seem to be related issues, but it was just one or two times and it’s not consistent so that I can report it. But now it has appeared again! Please consider that one, too. I hope that helps in any way.
Thanks for the update - our team is investigating this issue further and should have more information to share next week.
In the meantime, if you stop Roon Server, or disable your watched folder, and then import your content, followed by turning Roon Server back on or re-enabling your watched folder, do you run into the same issue?
Another test : if you test out forcing a rescan of the recent imports - do you still have the same issue?
