Has anyone experienced a lower fidelity audio when using a Raspberry Pi 3b on its own as a end point? The sound to me seems veiled the transients seem less vivid there is less separation between instruments.
Well I tested it again and it seems it was my ears, I plugged both the chromecast and raspberry pi into the dac and quickly swopped them on the input selection. I could not tell the difference
Yeah, I’ve tried the Pi 3B+ USB output to three different DACs, and they all sounded great with it. Not that that means anything to anyone else. I doubt there’s an issue here.
