Hey @Dave_Keegan,

Thanks for writing in - it’s good to see you on the community again, sorry it’s an issue that prompted your recent post.

Based on your account admin, it looks like your account has recently expired, if you’d like to continue troubleshooting your issue, we can have our @accounts team set you up with a trial to allow you access back into your account. Is this something you’d like to do?

We aren’t able to see any devices linked to your account because of this - what macOS version are you running on your Mini? We’ve seen issues linked to local audio devices on machines running Seqouia - can you please navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network , and make sure Roon is allowed. If it is already enabled, toggle it off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists.

We’ll be monitoring this thread for your reply, thank you! :raised_hands:

Hi Benjamin,

My Roon Core account is on david.keegan sorry if that’s confusing but the dave64k email address was on an older Elac Discovery unit I no longer own but it is still the email address for Community etc.

This endpoint is indeed a Mac Mini M4 running Sequoia 15.4

My Roon Core is running on a Innuos Zenith MkIII

I have checked my security settings on the Mac OS and can confirm that Roon is allowed.

Rebooting everything gets me back into the Core on occasion but once I close down for even an hour or so the Mac Mini M4 can’t find the Roon Core anymore.

Other endpoints don’t seem to suffer as much.

I have downloaded logs if that helps

Thanks

Dave

Roon core visible on Safari but not in Roon App

Hi @Dave_Keegan
We were able to retrieve logs from your Zenith server. It looks like the server is operating as expected so let’s focus on the connection from the Mac to the Zenith.

Can you confirm that RoonServer and RAATServer are also allowed through?

Hi Daniel

There is only an entry for Roon. I can’t see RoonServer and RAATServer. Do I need to look somewhere else in settings? Thanks Dave

Hi @Dave_Keegan,
If you click the plus button at the bottom of the firewall screen can you add them?

Hi Daniel,

I might be being a bit slow here but how can I add them on this screen? I can see how I can add Roon from the applications list in the MAC OS but I can’t see where I would find RoonServer and RAATServer? Thanks. Dave

Hi @Dave_Keegan ,

You should be able to locate RoonServer/Roon/RAATServer in the Database Location under ~Library or in the Applications folder:

Have you tried to set IP Address Reservation in your router yet? If the IP address remains the same, maybe it would help with stability. Also, just to confirm, do you use multiple networking interfaces (WiFi/Ethernet)? Is the behavior the same with just one enabled?

Hi Noris,

Can’t find RoonServer/Roon/RAATServer anywhere on my Mac Mini. I assume that’s because the Roon Core is on my Innuos Zenith and only Roon App is on the Mac mini?

I have a static IP address set up for the Roon Core on the Zenith.

I do have Roon App access both on Wifi and Ethernet. The issue does seem specific to the Mac Mini which is Ethernet access.

I downloaded the latest MAC OS 15.4 update last night and this morning Roon App access seems to be working OK. Not sure if this is a coincidence as nothing else has been changed. Will try through the day and confirm if the issue still exists

Hi @Dave_Keegan ,

Thanks for the update and glad to hear that the Roon App access is now working as expected! Yes, do let us know how further testing goes.

There should still be a Roon + RAATServer folder on the Mac, even if the Zenith is the Server (Zenith would have the main RoonServer folder, but the other two folders are present in all installs of Roon). But it sounds like you will not need to locate it if everything is now working as expected.

Hi Noris

Roon App has been stable for over a day now so you can close this case #YAQTYP. Thanks. Dave
