I previously added new music to Roon using my mac either though itunes for MP3 files
or a HighRez folder on an external drive. Now I have the itunes and HighRez folders on the Nucleus what’s the best way to add music to Roon?
I don’t see any reason you couldn’t point those services to download to those folders on the Nucleus. It is just a network folder. \ROCK\Data\Storage\InternalStorage for my ROCK.
There are a couple of reasons you may not want to. I have a ‘cleanup’ routine I put my downloads through to standardize file names and convert flac files to mp3s for my car. So the first stop is my NAS.
Also, its generally good practice to not have Roon actively scanning your library when you add music. When I add big batches I turn the Roon Server off on my ROCK. But it probably is low risk to have it running if you are adding an album at a time.
