Release 2022.11.2

Hi,

The previous release has an annoying bug related to the screen: in some cases the screen won’t come back from it’s screensaver and stays dark.

So this small patch release addresses just that.

There’s a small feature in there as well: now you can control the screensaver also with the remote control. So on the OSMC remote control you can toggle the different screensaver options (clock/blank) with the ‘i’ key; on an Flirc remote control this can be toggled with the ‘power’ button.

Here’s the changelog:

  • NEW: toggle screen (clock/blank) with remote control
  • FIX: sometimes the screensaver stays in ‘blanked’ mode
  • IMPROV: update Linux kernel

Enjoy!

Hi Harry, This morning, the screen was again black, and I couldn’t push it to the normal screen or to the clock. I had to reboot it.
So I am afraid that 2022.11.2 is not solving all the problems of “sometimes the screensaver stays in ‘blanked’ mode”.
Thank you for all your work! This is not a big problem, but I tought it would be best that you know it.
Kind regards, Frank.
