After switch output between HAT and Off several times(including Configure and Reboot), the service finally turn off, thanks.
Hi @spockfish - I was just checking whether you think the issue with the USB-AC56 WiFi dongle seems fixable? Thanks.
Hi,
I"ve looked into it. I know why it isn’t working anymore: this is because of the Realtek driver mess. I’ve upgraded the Realtek driver, and it seems that this works for quite a few devices, except this dongle.
The only thing I can imagine is that I buy one to figure it out in more detail, but this one isn’t exactly cheap.
Hi Harry…thanks for looking…I appreciate it’s a complete nightmare trying to keep on top of all the dongle driver issues.
This is a particularly good adapter, which has been rock solid in an area where others fail, hence me not just swapping it out. If there’s any way I can help, either testing myself, or maybe donating some money towards the purchase of one for testing, please do let me know.
(SOLVED: )Hi all, not been using Spotify Connect and Plexamp services for a while, but now these do not appear in my connection list anymore…
Airplay I do see. Tried switching the audio outputs to off and back to usb after reboots, but still not visible…
My sonos speakers do appear, so I like to think not a mdns issue on my network.
Any idea what can be done or how to investigate?
(Raspberry 4 with 7” screen)
Edit: installed a raspberry pi 4 with moodeaudio, connected to same switch and/or wifi. Shows both spotify connect and plexamp fine, so network is not the issue.
Notice it does not need credentials for the spotify (and see it is mentioned in this thread as well): and indeed without Spotify Connect shows again!
(plexamp I will reconfigure, will very likely show up again as well…)

Hi Harry - so, looks like I’ll need to stay at 2024.06 for now - presumably if there’s another driver change which might help you’ll pop it in the release notes? Thanks.
Hi @spockfish - don’t suppose there’s been any changes in recent versions that might have fixed this? At the moment I’m parked on 2024.06 indefinitely. Thanks!
Well this is exciting - thanks @spockfish - the 2025.06 build is the first one since 2024.06 where my Wifi dongle is again recognised
