And as usual a big thanks to the beta testers and translators!
Enjoy!
Many thanks, Harry for everything you do with this system. Much appreciated…
Is there any alternative to the routine in use for downloading and installing updates, please?
Most often (but not today: all done in under 30 minutes, thanks!) I have to wait several hours for the Update button to appear in ‘Information’… never sure whether/when it is working, or will work.
Updating doesn’t always appear to complete: I get the grey-coloured screen with the anti clockwise arrow; I usually wait (sometimes another hour or so) to make sure it’s finished.
I do understand that this is a voluntary and free service working with a firmware update! And am grateful for the updates etc. No complaints!
But would anything more interactive (and quick) be a feasible alternative, please?
Thanks again!
Hi Harry,
I also run a stable version on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Plus Rev 1.3 with a Allo digione signature hat.
The update went smoothly

I updated earlier this afternoon, and immediately noticed two new things:
White noise. Not very loud, but my system used to be dead silent to my ears.
Popping when a track starts (maybe this is when a new bitrate or sample depth is encountered?)
The box is an RPi4 in a Flirc box. Input is Gigabit Ethernet coming from my Asus router which is also connected to the ROCK NUC. Output is USB to an SMSL M500 DAC.
