@spockfish What is it?

ā€œUpdate 2026.04.0 [3482] downloaded and available for your device!ā€

There has been a hotfix out for Pi 5’s… that’s what you’re now seeing.

Hi Harry,

since the update on the USBridge Signature, my DAC(Gustard X18) is not visible anymore in the audio section, and of course no sound, despite several reboots and cable checks.

b5348a013c9b59fe (hoping you’ll see something)

I have just run the update on my USBridge Sig and it didn’t finish, all I get is a continuous flashing orange light. I’m going to have to pull the power and hope that I don’t have to do a full reinstall.

Edit: It did reboot properly after I powered it up again.

FYI Harry, for the last two updates on the USBridge Sig I have had to pull the power and re-boot the unit before Ropieee would run.

Hi,

After some reflashing and testing with last 2025 version, it appears my USBridge is having a hardware issue, where the Clean USB port seems KO, so you can stop investigating.

I’ll replace it by a Ustar C19 with a CM4 module

I don’t remember that ā€œAuto updateā€ features was active in previous, stable version?

Right now this features is inactive for me.

Regards,

Bruno

It has been there ā€˜forever’. Auto update requires a reboot schedule, which on your unit is disabled.

I’m sorry Harry, maybe this is my covid fog

Of course I should turn Reboot schedule on by set daily/weekly… option.

Since updating, my devices won’t connect to it via Airplay. I reboot, I click on ropieee [RoPieeeXL], it connects/disconnects instantly, then when I try again I assume it times out. It then times out every time until I reboot it again. It would happen once in a while before but I haven’t gotten it to work at all since the update.

Hi Harry have one of my units refuses to update…See any issues?

Going to order a new SD card soon too just in case

Heej!

Your unit has actually downloaded an update (2026.03). So I would expect that it would show you that an update is available. It already downloaded this release before the release of 2026.04, so hence this is a 2-step.

Are you saying that you don’t see an update notification in the web interface?

Thanks

Doing the update as I have been doing it trying to do each time it comes up results in another update ( I just did one prior to this feedback) so it’s not installing. And I can’t determine why. Never seems to install. I’m in an update loop :man_shrugging:

Ok… found it: the update streaming to disk times out ( at 98% :face_with_raised_eyebrow: )

I’m not entirely sure why … because the time limit is rather on the safe side.

Unfortunately that means that you need to reflash. I’m gonna increase the time limit a bit…

Maybe the image is getting bigger now and the transfer time is not quite enough… could it be propagation delays due to geographic location?

I’m giving it one more try now then I’ll reflash to a new sd card that’s coming in the mail soon

No, because this isn’t about the download. If you click on ā€˜INSTALL’ the update has already been downloaded to your RoPieee. This is about the time it takes to actually write the update to disk.

It’s a rather old 8gb sd card so maybe time to ditch it

Yeah, could very well be the case. And what I said: corner case. It was at 98%

Hi,

Several years ago my USBridge Sig clean port failed too, an electronic shop, found the issue and import the damage component. In my country labor is not expensive (parts are). At the end I have it running as brand new, I even replaced CM3 with CM4S Lite, put Ropieee on it and is working even better.
