And as usual a big thanks to the beta testers and translators!
Enjoy!
I’m having issues with one of my units. It’s recognized by Roon and it’s working properly. However, I can’t connect to it over the web browser inputting the IP address or the zone name. It’s showing on Devices but all I get is this message:
The one having this problem is the Bedroom unit. Of course I can’t send logs because I can’t access into it. Do I need to reflash the SD card?
Try first to pull the power cord and see if it reboots and become accessible, if not I’m afraid there isn’t anything to do but reflash
new release doesn’t boot up. Hangs on message line:
not syncing, unable to mount message block on unknown fs, or something like that.
have restarted unit a couple of times, no difference.
oops, update: instead of restarting, I totally disconnected the electricity for a few minutes, and then it booted up fine. issue solved.
Reflashing fixed it!
while poking around to see if alsa-capabilities tool is available in RoPieee, I noticed that ALSA Use Case Manager installation is incomplete - the alsa-ucm-conf files are missing; OBS: I didn’t check (yet) if there is any value in having this utility fully functional or not
[root@RoPieee-D50s cards]# alsaucm --version
alsaucm: version 1.2.15.2
[root@RoPieee-D50s cards]# alsaucm listcards

Hello,
I have a customer who is using a PecanPi DAC.
They are reporting the following after the latest update:
Today I updated RoPieee (as I ordinarily do) and my player will no longer play DSD/DSF files and is having a hard time loading 192/24 files as well. I have the Roon Bridge and have tried my own troubleshooting in both Roon and RoPieee, with no success.
Thanks;
Leo
What does “have a hard time loading 192/24” mean?
Do they mean the type of problems I’ve been having (only with USB in my case) and being discussed with Harry here? Recent issue, not sure if it's DAC?
The TLDR is two different but seemingly related issues with hi-res audio and some USB DACs. It either plays fine at the Roon end but sounds like it’s playing the wrong sample rate at the DAC end, or it fails at the roon end looking like network issues, but those network issues don’t occur if you play to a different DAC on the same endpoint. My personal guess is that it’s a RAAT negotiation issue with the newer Roon Bridge not liking some DAC drivers.
Can the user send me feedback?
