All my STABLE units updated perfectly but all my BETA units are still sick at 2025.05
I’ve changed all my beta units to stable now in the hope they will burst into updates and catch up again

On RPI5 + display2 feeding two USB targets.
Installation went OK.
Roon (alone) works perfectly.
Roon+Hqplayer starts and immediately stops.
On the Audio tab I see both usb targets shift to Hqplayer for a short while and then return to idle.

That’s very limited info. What’s the problem? Playing via HQPlayer? Or specifically the convenience switching? And if so: does playing audio in general to HQP work?
The problem is the fillowing:
When playing Roon (no Hqplayer) all is well.
When playing Roon via Hqplayer, music starts for 1 or 2 seconds and then stops.
I did reset my Roon/Hqplayer server
So that worked…maybe ill leave a few more on stable for now, and do the same with some others not currently running
Ah. You’re using HQPlayer as transport from Roon…
I know what this is: the ‘Convenience Switching’ is interfering here: it doesn’t know that, in this case, both HQPlayer and Roon are involved in the same audio chain.
Either disable convenience switching for now (just disable remote control in HQplayer, I think that will do the trick).
EDIT: working on a fix. would be great if you could test that when ready.
Just finished updating three pico2s and the update went flawlessly. But got some weird network problems after the update - the players kick everything else off the network. I got a second fritzbox to extend my WLAN and everything behind that second router is not reachable any more. I disconnected all picos except one to make it easier to narrow it down and its the same behavior with each of them. As soon as I unplug a pico, everything in the network behind the second fritzbox is reachable again as usual. All devices have fixed IPs and are connected to the LAN so I would exclude any DHCP or WLAN related problems. Already tried to reboot everything but unfortunately the problem persists. Up till the 2026-08 update the setup was running without any problems.
Any ideas anyone?
