Hello, i have a lot of radio cut files here (Steve Mason Experience) that are named like „1994-10-24 - Steve Mason Experience Part1.m4a“. I would like to import them to roon with overtaking the Date from the filename as „release date“ in roon.
Yeah i got it! A combination of mp3TagEditor (for folder based editing) and Apple Music together with Tune Instructor ( Tune•Instructor | Take control of your iTunes library for tag based editing) made it possible
Tune Instructor is a f..king great tool in combination with AM/iTunes on mac! The intern editor of itunes already is very great, but TI adds tools to iTunes that makes it a very great Tag editor! I think everybody should know this
The only problem is that TI only works until macOS 10 :-/ macOS 11 and above is no more supported but for this cases i still own an old MBP 2013
Now i made 11 albums (Steve Mason Experience 1991-2001) with an extra disc (1-12) for every month where all shows are arranged as single tracks of the disc in order of appearence
By the way imlearned, that the tag „year“ accepts not only years. Writing „1992-10-23“ to the tag year will overtake the correct date as „23.10.1992“
The next problem to solve: how to add line breaks in song lyrics for roon? I want to add the playlists of the shows there
