Description of Issue

This morning, win11 and the iPhone remote have been in a non-stop reconnect to core process. I tried restarting the core but it didn’t work. Requesting help.

Hi @sy_boy1

I’m just a fellow Roon user.

Are you on any of the early access/releases?

Can you navigate to the Roon Rocks webpage.

Mine is at - http://192.168.1.30/

Yours will be different.

This is to see if the Roon Rock is on your network.

If you can, try rebooting your Roon Remote app and also your Win11 Client (I’m guessing).

I’ve been having a few issues with my Android Roon Remote, needing to be force closed and then opened again to resume service.

Hey @sy_boy1,

Thanks for taking the time to write in! Sorry to hear you’re running into issues with your ROCK. Our team was able to review a recent diagnostic report from the device and have found OOM’s that have led to corruption in your database.

Where is your local library hosted?

A good next step would be to set aside your current database and see if the same issues occur. Steps to follow below:

  • Stop RoonServer from running in ROCK’s WebUI
  • Navigate to your ROCK’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RoonServer”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old”
  • Restart the RoonServer in the WebUI to generate a new Roon database folder
  • On the Roon Remotes, press “Use another Core” and connect to the new database

I’d also consider upping the RAM on your NUC as well as a longer-term solution as well.

Outside of this, please confirm you arent using any third-party networking gear or VPNs in association with Roon or within your local network.

Thanks!
