  1. Naim ND5/XS2; 2. Sonos - Connect and Play 3

Description Of Issue

We have 3 devices as remotes - 2 Sony Xperia phones and an old Samsung tablet. One of the phones and the tablet connect well. The second phone only connects very intermittently - when near the Core and after sevral minutes of waiting - and then disconnects. We have tried reinstalling the app, but no difference. We have Roon on free trial, and was going to buy the lifetime subscription if it works. I want to replace the current Sonos and [rubbish] Naim apps with this, but no good if we cannot use one of the key devices as a remote.

I should add that the phone in question works fine on the network with both Sonos and Naim apps. It is only the Roon Core that is not recognised

Hi @Mark_Priestley,

Are the two Xperia devices identical? Are they on the same Android version?

The one that works is an Xperia XZ1 compact, running Andsroid version 9 (model G8441). The lone that does not work is an XZ2, running Android 10 (model H8216)

Hello @Mark_Priestley, and welcome to the community!

  1. What’s the model of the Sky Router?
  2. Do you have any other network devices between the core and the remotes?
  3. On the app for the remote, you have the option to enter the IP address of the core. If you use that option, do you get a better result?

Let me know!
