Local network access enabled on both macpro and iPad. toggled off and on. rebooted Mac but iPad still “looking for Roon Essentials Core”. anything you can suggest is appreciated. K
Thanks for giving that a try! Could you please remove the Roon mobile app on the iPad, and perform a fresh download and install - let me know if you’re able to connect afterwards.
If not, we’ll need to grab a set of Roon mobile iOS logs, can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs mobile Roon logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!
Ben: figured it out! From the App Store I was downloading Roon Essentials REMOTE which i was instructed to do for remote purposes. This is incorrect; must download the Roon app, same one used to establish the Core on the MacPro … it then automatically sees itself as remote for the Core. Ugh! Could you folks please delete that Roon Essentials Remote app from the Stores? It really is misleading how it appears to be required. Many thanks for your help and looking forward to using Roon. KK
