Description Of Issue

I am unable to connect my iPhone X to the Roon Core for use as a remote. The Roon app on the iPhone X cannot find the Core even when providing the connection wizard with the IP address. I am already using my iPad as remote with no issue.

Hi,

First thing to check is that the iPhone is connected to the same LAN via wifi as the Roon Core.

Also note that …

iPadOS14.2 introduced more security features, and apps have to be specifically authorised to access the LAN.

Go into the iPad’s setting and adjust them to grant access.

Alternatively, uninstall the Roon iPad app. reboot the iPad and then reinstall Roon … on reinstallation the iPad will prompt to allow access for Roon.

Thanks Carl. I apparently just needed to enable the Roon app on the iPhone to access the LAN and now it’s working. Thanks for your help.
