From your account info, I can see that most of your Roon remotes, along with Roon Server on the ST seems to be a bit outdated. An easy first step in this case would be to update all your Roon devices.
See if you’re able to update Roon via the manual steps below:
Go to
Manage → Apps → Software Manager
Click Update
When it finishes, return to the main menu and reboot the unit
One thing worth being clear about, because it changes who can help.
On our own hardware, we have a web administration interface we can guide you through. On a sonicTransporter, we do not. The unit’s operating system, its management page, and the Software Manager that installs and updates Roon Server all belong to Small Green Computer. We have no interface on that unit and no way to look at it or act on it from our side.
Your remotes cannot connect because Roon Server on the sonicTransporter is too old for them, and Roon needs the server and remotes on matching versions. The update has to happen on the unit, and if you cannot reach the unit’s management page at all, that is the first thing to solve, and it is theirs.
So please take this to Small Green Computer support, and tell them you cannot reach the management interface and cannot run Software Manager. That is squarely their area.
One thing you can try in the meantime: instead of going through
, look in your router’s list of connected devices, find the sonicTransporter’s IP address, and enter that address directly in your browser. If the cloud page is what is failing, the unit may still answer locally.
If they come back and say the problem is on the Roon side, post what they told you here, and we will take it from there.

Since I asked about this, the power light has gone off on the SonicTransporter and it won’t come back on. But Mr. Gillis has just gotten in touch, so I will report if anything can be done.
Thanks for letting us know. A power light that will not come back on puts this firmly with Small Green Computer rather than with us, and there is nothing we can act on from here until the unit powers up again. Good that they are already in touch.
One thing worth doing while you wait: please check whether you have a recent Roon backup and where it is kept. If the only copies live on the sonicTransporter itself, that is worth raising with them before anything is repaired or swapped, so your library comes back along with the unit.
