Removing Tidal albums from Roon Library

I followed instructions on removing Tidal albums from library by going to Focus > Storage > Tidal > Select All > Delete.
This worked but it also removed them from my Tidal APP Favorites. I did not think it would sync back to Tidal. I just wanted to de-clutter my library.
I wanted to keep the Tidal favorites for other applications like my car.
Is there a way?

Moved this from #roon-community-site to #roon because it is about the software, not the forum.

As to your question, no, it is not possible this way. Being in the Roon library and being favorited on Tidal are essentially the same thing.

But there are probably other ways in Roon to achieve something similar. I don’t understand what you are trying to achieve, though. I get that you want these albums favorited in Tidal but have no use for them in Roon at home, but I don’t get what’s so objectionable about these albums. Can you explain in more detail so that someone can suggest a suitable way?

Use „Focus“ to deselect Tidal content temporarily in Roon, if you want to see local content only at times.

I would refer to keep Favs in Roon primarily for my local library.
I can access Tidal Favs in Roon when I want by selecting > Tidal > My Tidal Collection.
So it seems redundant to have them all populate in my Roon Favs.

I don’t see how i could delete the links once I Sign Out of Tidal.

Yes, I may try to restore from backup.

Thanks

As @Marin_Weigel suggested, use Focus to select only local albums for display. You can make a Bookmark of this for fast recall and application.

BTW, Roon “Favourites” are not the same as Tidal “Favourites” - they are independent of each other.

Geoff is right about FAVS. Sorry I didn’t explain issue correctly. My FAVS in Tidal (and Qobuz) are getting automatically added to My Albums in Roon. I would like to remove them without deleting from the service FAVs.
I don’t see how I can use Focus to see only Local albums. When I go to Storage Locations, I see Tidal and Qobuz Library along with all My Tag folders, each of which I can select individually, but I can’t select everything in local library. A bookmark would be great but don’t see how.
I tried hiding Tidal in Library but that did’t do anything.

To clarify, I understand bookmarks but can’t see how I can select Local library to save.

Ok, I tried using HIDE again from Focus after selecting Qobuz Library and adding bookmark. It works for my purposes. Thanks to all !!

If you look in focus you have storage location as an option. This will have one for local storage and one for each streaming service. You select the focus to be on the local one only. Then that’s all it will show. You can then save this as a bookmark to recall it at anytime. Same can be done under tracks, possibly artists although never tried this)

In my iPad app Local Storage I do not have a Local folder. I have 14 Folders for Tags that have many of My Albums.

If you have a drive with local music on it that’s a folder that Roon reads you have to. It will be the folder that you have in settings/storage.

Here’s mine as an example

This is focus showing both folders that are used for local music. I don’t have any favourites in streaming so doesn’t show Qobuz. But it would if I had them. Just select your local folders job done.

If you don’t have any local files of your own then there is nothing you can do. As what’s a favourite in Tidal or Qobuz will sync to your Library in Roon. Thats how it’s designed to work and how all apps work with streaming integration they show your favourites for that service. Roon just keeps a local library of those and your own music if you have it.

I do have usb attached and I see my error. I have my music in 14 separate folders on the drivso that is what I see in Storage Location. Daa…
I would like to keep it organized like this so I’ll need to use other work arounds.

Thanks

You dont seem to be fully understanding how this works. It will still work regardless on how many watched folders you have. Just focus on whatever folders show up in the Focus for Storage location except Tidal. You can have as many as you want. If you don’t do it this way you will have to hide each new album you add to Tidal as it will sync to Roon automatically and wont be hidden.

Or you can select just Tidal from Storage Location in TIdal in Focus , then click on the + symbol to change to a - then it will exclude Tidal from your display only focusing on local stuff.

Here is an example of me focusinng on Flac with the invert applied so it just shows my lossy files and not Flac, the process works the same for streaming services.
