Rename artist doesn't work

Hi

I have the Roon core app on my computer managing a music library

There is an old mp3 of the friends theme (TV show) and Roon categorizes it as the led zeppelin song

I have tried all the options under right clicking the song and > edit but none worked. Here is exactly what I tried

• rescan track
• reidentify track
• reanalyze track
• going to edit > edit track and removing the artist credit (all I can do was uncheck the artist from the checkbox but the artist name still shows in that list)

Any ideas?

That won’t help if Roon misidentifies it.

It’s fine if the artist is still in the list after you uncheck it. Default credits never disappear and instead they stay in the list, but unchecking them removes the credit.

However, note that every track in Roon belongs to an album (and even if it’s just a single track, there is still an album entity created for it). So by going to “edit track” you just edit the track, but not the album it belongs to. You probably have to edit the album as well:

Then remove the wrong primary artist and add the proper one (if any) …

Then scroll further down and edit the album artist…

Then scroll down even more and edit the credits …

And make any other changes that you want as well
