Happens sometimes I spot a typo in a folder/track name after Roon has already (even just partially) “scanned” it and… getting it back in Roon’s database is a nightmare 
Or… there are some older rips I would like to rename accordingly to my latest “standards”
Yesterday I tried renaming some files and all went fine. Then I renamed some more and I couldn’t get them back in Roon database. In the end they came back but… still not sure what made it! 
(had to clean up the library, first, so they’re now showing as “New” and obviously all my edits/ratings are gone 
)
so: best practice is…?
(… do not mess with filenames, right?
