Reoccurring issue with Nucleus Not Connecting to Network, Unresponsive

@Support

It happened again for the nth time, usually after a new Roon update, the Roon Nucleus+ disappeared from the network a day after the latest update. There’s been no changes on my network and system. Have tried to reboot the network and the Nucleus multiple times and still cannot be found on the network under Connected Devices from the Orbit router. It’s the only piece of equipment that’s been consistently having network issues. I’ve noticed an unknown entity “opentrhend.thread.home.arpa” shows up on my Mac’s network not sure if it’s related. This is already my 2nd Nucleus Plus, the last one bricked for the same issue and had to be replaced. The Nucleus+ is the most unreliable AV equipment I’ve ever owned!

I’ve temporary switched to running Roon on my Mac Studio. The Mac is much more reliable than Nucleus+ hindsight.

Hi @DN28,

Thanks for writing in and I’m sorry to hear you’re continuing to have issues with your Nucleus.

A quick note - please do not open multiple threads concerning the same issue. It only muddies the water for our team and usually takes a longer time for us to provide you support. Thanks for your cooperation moving forward on this. :pray:

If you’re not able to get your Nucleus online, we unfortunately won’t be able to enable diagnostics for the device. Can you please connect the device to a monitor via HDMI and share a screenshot of what shows up on the display?

I’ll be on standby for your reply, thanks. :+1:

Thanks for the reply. Someone split my post and changed the title. I just edited the title to describe the issue correctly.

I hooked up the Nucleus+ HDMI A and HDMI B to the TV HDMI input, and there’s no signals from both. I tried setting the TV HDMI input to PC, still no signals. My Nucleus+ is installed in an AV rack.

Got it, thanks for giving that a try. I’ll be in touch via private message to kickstart the RMA process for you.
