Roon Display currently relies on Chromecast, but Google has stopped producing all Chromecast devices. With the platform effectively EOL, Roon Display depends on hardware that will soon disappear.
The browser URL Roon Display is not a real alternative on TVs:
- TV browsers are limited or missing
- Launching a URL with a remote is clumsy
- No home‑screen tile, no integration, no automation
A URL is a workaround.
A native app is the solution.
Please provide a native Android TV / Google TV Roon Display app so the feature remains usable on modern and future devices.
