Restore backup - not recognising the back up file?

Description of Issue

Reinstalled the ROCK from ground up. Then attempting to restore from backup file.

But it doesn’t recognise it? The backup folder Structure looks daunting. Is there a more specific path that I need to choose?

Ah sorted! Missing an UNIX executable files somehow… I compared with an older saved backup folder

@Gordon_Lau, do you have a directory named RoonBackups on your network drive? The directory starting with the “b” is typical of a directory name that is inside the RoonBackups folder, as seen in my RoonBackups directory:

You also should have a file named “roon_backup_root” in the RoonBackups directory. If this file also is not present, do you have any other Roon backups available to you?

Yes exact that. Missing that root file somehow. Managed to copy that file from an older backup folder at another location. Then it manages to restore

99% good. Roon is now up and running on 2.0 build 1234…. But can’t update to the newest build…. Hm

What does your ROCK admin page show? Can you post a screenshot?

Finally the core righted itself and all is well. Just no idea why or how…
