Is this (still?) the best (only?) way to restrict a search to my Library, please; that is - exclude my Qobuz subscription:
-
Focus > Storage Locations > Nucleus Titan Internal Storage
-
Search (Magnifier top right at same level on screen)
TIA…
Basically - yes
To make it easier, I recommend filtering by storage location and then creating a bookmark (which would then show just your local albums).
Thanks very much! It’s because my collection is growing almost daily and it’s becoming more difficult to find what I want. This will make it easier.
Bookmark also created…
Appreciated ![]()
Why not use Filter on the Album view , that is your library plus whatever Qobuz albums you have added
3-5 char filter to a subset usually works for me, Pick your filter set carefully eg Abbey not Road etc likely to be many Roads much fewer Abbey’s
My main workflow is Artists >Filter > Discography > Filter
I have always regarded Search as a blunt instrument to find stuff NOT in my main library
Thanks, Mike!
Maybe something odd…that’s how I started; but Filter always returns all sorts of (in my case too) artists whom I know I don’t have imported CDs or FLACs of.
so I thought they must be ones available through my Qobuz subscription.
Hi Mark
Filter only works on what is in that specific view , so with Artists for example if it finds something odd it’s because it’s there . Stray credits imported into metadata are unfortunately not rare.
Also, back to my hobbyhorse of box sets , if you split a CD off a box, often it will take with it the credit for the box not the disc ! I suspect its because that album does not ID alone but does as a part of the box. It sometimes (not often) allocates an album to a wrong composer. I can’t just find an example, typically>
That said I have used this workflow almost permanently since filter appeared and I find it perfect
Thanks, Mike. Shall experiment further ![]()
