Hi @Laurence_Landow,

Have you tried the right tab, “Edit Tracks,” after clicking “Fix Track Grouping” in the Album Editor? You can manually edit the order there.

Yes, renumbering is no problem with most albums. With this one particular album, I’ve tried renumbering the tracks in different ways but I can’t get the sequence right.

The Screenshot illustrates 2 problems:

  1. The line listing at the TOP (Piano Concerto No. 4) includes both 1st and 2nd movements — they should be separate tracks.
  2. The line listing at the BOTTOM (Symphony No. 1 - 1st movement) was the TOP track in this 1936.02.23 concert.

Moreover, the post-album merging Screenshot (above) shows that even after labeling the tracks on Disc 1 (Symphony movements) in the correct order, they still appear on Disk 2 (last 4 tracks).

I suspect your issue is being caused by incorrect metadata in the track files. Also check that you have added the ripped discs in a structure that is recognised by Roon for multidisc albums (box sets).

Your observation about the metadata was spot on. I transferred the same concert a second time using the identical title for each disc and found no difficulties.

Question: does the same principle hold with respect to “separating” adjacent tracks that have unintentionally merged? Perhaps there’s a link on this problem?

I’m not clear on what you mean by this. Can you post a screenshot that illustrates the issue?

I found similar examples in my collection last week, but now I’m unable to locate them. I suspect use of different album titles for merging 2 discs is the problem.
