RHA Dacamp not recognized as dsd-dac

I am using the RHA Dacamp L1 in my setup. It works great with PCM 32 bit files.

The Dacamp can also encode dsd 256, so I though I would give it a try.
The odd thing happening in Roon is that dsd 256-files are still being transcoded to PCM.

In another player (Resonic Player) it works like a charm and the dacamp is recognized as a dsd-dac.

Am I doing somthing wrong, or is this normal with non roon approved devices.

Perhaps you can list more info about the core setup PC/MAC/Linix etc and what the DACAMP is connected to, plus any network if that too is involved.
