Description of Issue

When I right-click on the Roon app running on my Windows 11 laptop, the top two options are no longer functional and return an error when selected:

This happened after the most recent update.

Should I try uninstalling/reinstalling the app?

Correct you are! It would be good to test things on a fresh database. Follow the steps below:

  • Create a fresh backup before anything else
  • Stop RoonServer from running in WebUI
  • Navigate to your Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RoonServer”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old”
  • Restart the RoonServer in the WebUI to generate a new Roon database folder
  • On the Roon Remotes, press “Use another Core” and connect to the new database
  • Before restoring from your backup, test to see if your issue occurs on a fresh database
