He had a long standing legal battle over royalties for Whiter Shade didn’t he? The original organ player who collaborated in the creation of the song waited 38 years to make a claim for future royalties. Many song writers who are lucky enough to come up with that one song that will always get played appreciate the fact they have it in their portfolio but he came to resent the song because of the grief it caused him.

I saw a concert in The Netherlands, only a couple of years ago. Did someone mention his humour? At least he no langer has fear for flying, so he can enter heaven without any fear at all.
