Describe the issue

RME ADI2 DAC breaking group playback

Describe your network setup

4 zones. One directly connected to Nucleus. Remaining three are connected via WiFi. Router is a Synology WRX560

The issue only seems to present itself when the RME ADI2 is grouped with any of the other zones. It doesn’t matter if the RME is the main zone or not. It also affects both streamed (Tidal) and locally stored (Nucleus) content. The music will play for 10-30 seconds and then it will start skipping tracks with a message about how Tidal or local storage is slow to load. When I remove the RME from the group, everything plays fine. I’ve attempted adjusting the Clock master priority and buffer size without success.

Hi @Sean_Birdsell ,

Just to clarify here, does the issue happen when playing to the RME by itself? How is the RME connected in your setup? Via USB to the Nucleus?

Yes, it happens when it is just the RME alone (sorry, it was working the other day). The RME is connected via WiFi via a RoPieee streamer.

You can close this. Your question about “does the issue happen when playing to the RME by itself?” caused me to simply re-flash my RoPieee and, so far, problem solved. I apologize for not thinking of that first.
