ROCK 2.0 (build 1234) errors when trying to update

Roon Server Machine

I have Roon 2.0 (build 1359) running my NUC11PAHi7 with 64/256/1T (it was my first ROCK install).

Description of Issue

I want to stop using my Mac as my Roon server, but when activating the NUC with the 1234 build I am required to update, but the update fails and says:

There was an error checking for an update
Retry Now

If I shut down the Mac, and just use my iPhone the Roon does not see the NUC, but if the Mac is up then the Roon app will see the NUC.

Two questions:

  1. What other method can I use to update the ROCK software on the NUC?
  2. Why is the NUC only visible when the Mac is running Roon?

Go to ROCK’s web admin page and click the Reinstall button. This will also updated everything to the latest versions

Are you sure that the app is already connecting to ROCK and not still to the Roon Server on the Mac?

With the Mac powered off, my phone app for the TP-Link says the NUC ROCK server is connected and responding.

I get an error when trying to reinstall the Operating System:
There was an error downloading Roon. Please check your internet connection. {“status”:“Failure”,“exitcode”:10}

See here:

Yes but I’m wondering if Roon on the phone is connecting to it. Anyway, try to sort the ROCK update first and then we’ll see
