Describe the issue

Core on ROCK - why no auto-start on power on?

Describe your network setup

Irrelevant to my question

Just another user here, not running ROCK but thinking that that’s set in your motherboard’s BIOS.
Check it out and report back …

If it was a PC running Windows I would do that but the ROCK is kind of a “black box” so I’m not even sure how to access the BIOS.

The BIOS has nothing to do with the operating system: The BIOS stage of the boot happens before the operating system starts up.

You enter the BIOS configuration in the way that’s mandated by your hardware. Actually you probably had to do this when you installed ROCK. For Intel NUCs it’s described here:

I assume you are using a NUC for ROCK?
When you say “why no auto-start on power-on?” what exactly is not starting?
Is it that the NUC is not booting? If it is this, then try hooking up a monitor to the NUC and seeing what shows up. If nothing shows and there are no lights on the NUC (power and ethernet) then your NUC could possibly be dead.
Or is it that the Roon server is not starting? Can you get to the WebUI? You can find the IP for ROCK by hooking up a monitor, or looking in your router for its assigned address. If you can get to the webUI, see if you can start the server. Maybe post a screenshot of what you see on the webUI?
