Is it correct that you are talking about updating the Roon software on Windows, and the ***LDR missing happens on Windows reboot, and does it look like this?
I don’t know very much about Windows specifics, but “NTDLR is missing” seems not an uncommon error found on Google. It might well be that the Windows problem occurred first and that it caused the Roon failure. Or the other way around, but my bet would be on a Windows issue
Ah. I know what Rock is and that you are using it, but your description was just that Roon updated and there was an error in rebooting. I wasn’t sure what you were updating and rebooting, could have been the Roon remote on Windows.
In this case, @wizardofoz is probably right, and it’s in fact the same issue as is described on the links for Windows as well (one of them) - external USB plugged in and it’s trying to boot from that. Unplug it and try again
I don’t know why this suddenly impacted you - it might be related to the latest ROCK change that introduced UEFI support. In any case, your NUC’s boot order may be configured to boot from external drives (or your specific external drive) before your primary SSD. Adjusting this setting is reasonably straightforward by entering your NUC’s BIOS at boot time and changing boot order settings. If you’ve never done anything like this before it can be a bit intimidating but you might need to do it in order to be able to boot with your drive attached.
