Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

NUC8 i3 running ROCK 1.8 Build 764

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

Hardwired Ethernet

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

Simaudio MOON ACE & iOS devices

Description Of Issue

Migrated CORE to a NUC running ROCK successfully and restored from the Buffalo external HDD that previously served as the backup drive for my Macbook. That Buffalo HDD is now connected via USB to the NUC ROCK and is recognized however forced and scheduled backups result in the following error:

Backup Failed: Backup Directory not Available

I have attempted to backup on to a USB Flash Drive with the same result.

Hi jason,

Not official support, just a friendly helpful user. The issue might be that Linux cannot write to drives formated in HFS+, mac journaling. ExFAT is a better format to use for compatibility. Try formatting the USB flash drive in exFat and then see if backup can then backup to it.
