ROCK on a dual LAN system with Tenda mesh network

Hye everybody
I have Rock installed in a NUC
The Nuc is connected to my router wired connection .
The WiFi config is also activated so I can remote from iPhone or iPad .
Roon recommend wired connection for a better transport of audio files wich are in my Synology.
When I stream an audio file how can I be sure that streaming is wired and not using WiFi or Airplay ?
Thank You

Why do you want the WiFi on the ROCK?
If you are managing it through roon as long as it is on the network ie wired connection, your devices will connect anyway.

If I desactivate WiFi in Nuc Rock , you think I can remote the Core from my iPhone or iPad using Roon ?

Usually the router is also the “hub” of the WiFi network. I assume that you are able to use your iPhone and iPad connected to the internet via WiFi, which leads me to conclude that they are connected to your router’s WiFi.

You don’t need to have WiFi enabled on your NUC ROCK. It’s irrelevant.

I’ve desabled the wifi of my router and prefered to install a Tenda Mesh system for the WiFi at home
This Tenda has his own gateway wich is different from the one of the router
In fact I have 2 Lan home , one is wired for my PC’s and TV , and the other is WiFi for the SONOS System and the iPhone and iPad wich Control the Sonos loudspeakers

I think you will need the WiFi enabled on the router the Nuc/Rock is connected to. Endpoints and remotes need to be on the same network as the nuc/rock.

Your Roon core and all Roon end-points need to be on the same network. It’s best for all to be connected using ethernet. If you want to use your phone or tablet as a control device, then your router for that network must have WIFI enabled and the phone or tablet must be connect to that network using WIFI.

The answer is Yes. You have wire connected to your router.

The WiFi of my router cannot cover all the rooms , but the system Tenda Mesh I have yes with 3 modules well placed one in each room , and on of them them wired to the router . The one them connected to the router is the gateway of the remotes control and gives IP’s to the remotes .
Router is 198.168.1.1
Main module in mesh system is 198.168.5.1
So the probleme is that I have 2 Networks
One is wired (the router)
The second is WiFi the Tenda Mesh system .
I don’ know how merging both of them

Roon cannot integrate Endpoints (Raspberry Pi , Allo Digital player …) that are directly connected to the router but reconise all the Sonos connected to the mesh wifi system

You must integrate your Roon server into the Mesh Wifi network, and one way to achieve that would be to wire the Roon server to the Tenda router. I haven’t worked with this hardware, but a quick lookup shows that these Tenda routers do have a LAN port.

Yes I’ll test like this , this could be an option …
