Describe the issue
Rock on Intel NUC MacOS on M4 Mini
Describe your network setup
Latest everything and since the Roon Mac and Server updates the toggle off/on allowing Roon to communicate with devices on your local network has returned!
Thanks for reaching out. Just to confirm, you have an Intel NUC running ROCK and a Mac running MacOS, as two seperate devices? Or do you have ROCK running on the MacOS? Do you recall if this issue started after updating MacOS or after updating Roon?
@noris Thank you for the quick response. The config is the former. Re updates schedule I really am not sure - but erring towards MacOS (but wouldn’t bet my house on it!
[quote=“alex_h, post:4, topic:309774”]You have a ROCK on intel nuc and Remote on Mac Mini and can’t connect

This is the case but frustratingly it is an intermittent fault. Just now I started Mac running Roon Remote and it connected just fine to the server. Rock runs on Intel NUC and is always on. The network configuration is not changed and I am not a fiddler. All is can say is that toggling the allow Roon App to access devices on the local network always restores service every time. iPad & IOS devices always connect first time every time including ARC
This is, unfortunately, a known issue still occurring on certain newer macOS updates. The only known workaround for now is what you’ve mentioned above - our team is working behind the scenes on this, but we’re also hoping Apple will eventually work out a solution as well.
