do the filter files have to be accessible for the roon server every time I choose the corresponding preset in Roon (I made one for every headphone I own, set up with the individual headroom value and the generated file)?

After having imported the filters into Roon they are saved in the Roon Database. So no need to keep them at the place from where you imported them. But I recommend saving them additionally anywhere on your NAS or your PC.
