win 10 pro 64 roon1.8
after the update from 1.7 (which worked perfectly) the system does not start. i tried a reinstall from Rooninstaller: same issue.
Sometimes it shows empty box with a cross shortly before ending the program.
Got exactly the same issue. Same versions as mentioned here.
Previous 1.7 worked fine.
How can this be fixed?

Can you please use these instructions to send me a set of your Roon logs for reivew?
Roon worked for several days, now it has the same error again (starts with crossedbox, then stops).

das gleiche Problem hatte ich auch. Das Problem ist jetzt gelöst. Es lag am Grafikkartentreiber!
Ein Update auf den neuesten Grafikkartentreiber des Herstellers und nicht den von Windows hat bei mir das Problem gelöst. Seither läuft Roon ohne Probleme in allen Funktionen.
Hat bei mir nicht geholfen.
I found another driver directly from Intel and now it works. Hope it keeps that way.
