Description Of Issue

Roon Remote on iMac running Mac OS (Big Sur 11.2.1) ‘hangs’ when viewing some (many) artists on build 756. Did not happen on previous build. No problems viewing artists on Roon Core machine or on iOS (iphone x)

Only option is to then ‘Force quit’ Roon via MacOS.

The iMac is my primary Roon remote device and currently this renders Roon unusable.

Is there any option to roll back to 1.7 because 1.8 is proving a disaster, it would appear.

Hi, @Damian_Boys , thank you for your report.

Could you, please, perform the following test on your iMac:

  1. On the Remote affects by the issue, locate Roon folder. On Mac it can be found here – https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/articles/database-location
  2. Rename this Roon folder to something like “Roon_old”
  3. Launch app once again
  4. Try to reproduce this issue

Thanks!

@ivan Thanks Ivan - that does seem to have fixed the issue. Thanks for the fast response and guidance.

Now if you can only revert back to horizontal scrolling, all will be much better (sorry had to get that in there!)

Many thanks

Damian
