Description Of Issue

Hello. Roon 1.8 will not start up on my Intel NUC. It was happily working until about a week ago. It now gets ‘stuck’ on the start up screen (small Roon animated logo centre on white frame) when I launch the app. Any thoughts/tips very welcome! I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled from latest download at Roon Software Downloads - PC, Mac, Linux, Android & iOS | Get it Now

My thought would be to convert your NUC to a ROCK.

Have you cold restarted everything, Network included?

Shutdown unplug start up progressively waiting until each component is ready

Can’t hurt to try ?

PS check out the supported NUCs is yours there? It seems a slow processor for the core ?

All noted. Thanks. Time for a new NUC I think to run ROCK.

Thanks. I am going to likely upgrade to a newer NUC and run ROCK.

Hey @Matthew_Griffiths,

An extremely delayed welcome to the Roon Community

I am very sorry that we didn’t get a chance to reply sooner…. We’ve been working through an unprecedented number of open threads and this is visible in our response times.

I was wondering if you have any updates about your existing or potentially new Core? Can we help with anything
