I run Roon1.8 on my MacBook Pro2015 and on IOS Apps. Tidal is my only streaming service, and there are no local files in mye system. My problem is the searching function. The searching results only show what is in my library, nothing in my whole Tidal streaming service. This is the case both with my MacBook and the IOS 1.8 Apps.
Describe your network setup
My Roon Core: Macbook pro 2013. Iphone and Ipad Ron 1.8 apps.
Diagnostics indicate that your Tidal account is authorized with Roon throughout the log session, and there’s no evidence of failure with requests from RoonServer to either the Tidal API or Roon’s own servers. However, specific requests to the search servers related to Tidal content are failing, in line with the reported symptom.
For due diligence we need to rule out that a third-party firewall or another network condition is affected these requests. Please make sure you’ve safelisted RoonServer in any anti-virus or firewall software you’ve installed across this network. Additionally, make sure a reliable DNS server is assigned in your router, like Cloudflare or Google.
Navigate to Settings → Services and try changing some of the settings related to Tidal with Roon. Do you begin to see search results populate with Tidal results?
Also try signing out and back in of your Tidal account, both within Roon and also within the Tidal app or account webpage.
Hi everybody.
I am using thee system on the topic and it works well BUT the “search” doesn’t work on tidal. I mean I don’t find any artist that is not already in my library. It works only on local music.
any suggestion to solve the issue?

@Jim_F raises a great point.
Now the Internet connection requirements have been removed from 2.0 there is no good reason I know of for anyone to remain on 1.8.
Please update to latest version and let’s see how it performs.
Latest build is 1490.
And here you will find it.
Back up your database first though.
Thank you for your post. We’ve merged your thread with a post from another Roon 1.8 Legacy user who reported a similar issue.
Tidal’s API and Roon’s search service have both undergone significant changes in the time since the switch from Roon 1.8 to the supported public track, Roon 2.0.
We will investigate the failure in diagnostics, but please note that we are no longer shipping changes to Roon 1.8. Our search team will investigate this particular failure. However, if the only solution would be a change to RoonServer itself on 1.8, you will need to upgrade your system to Roon 2.0 on supported hardware as suggested above.
don’t you think that when I say I am running mojave that I know being an older system, I have some reason to not change my Os?
roon 2.0 is not supported by mojave.

Then refer to @connor response above please.
And no I don’t have a clue as to the Apple multiverse so apologies for trying to assist.
