Smooth and faster update than I expected. So far, I’m amazed by how fast the search is in my large library.

I started this thread and with my huge library am still impressed with the snappy performance and would not change a word in the title I gave it.

I have enjoyed the upgrade as well, but as others have mentioned, when I click on an artist or the discography page the app sticks and loads for 3-5 seconds before presenting the information. A system reboot helps—I use a sonictransporteri5—but it slows down again in a matter of hours.

Hey guys, how things are going wit 2.71 are you still seeing slowness, ram increase and need to restart on a regular basis?

I’m still a very happy camper with my large library. Even Arc is playing nice with me now – though I still only listen offline. That said, I’ve got my core on a generously configured MacStudio so I might be an outlier in that respect too.

For what it’s worth, I’ve been playing randomly from this playlist on and off since yesterday, and there is no sign of a slowdown…there would have been at least a little bit of a slowdown by now - at least with the waveform loading throbber going back and forth between songs a little bit - even on t…

It’s a bit early since my last reboot/update to 2.71 (3 days), but so far it doesn’t look like memory use is increasing as fast as before, though it’s still slowly increasing (currently at 3.20gb). I’ll see if it stabilizes over the next few days like it would normally do before the problem popped …

3.2GB is low for a Roon installation with any decent amount of music. Consider yourself lucky! Mine is using the typical ~5GB right now.

Very snappy for me, no matter what I do. Jumps from albums to artists to discographies no problem, and search is fast. This is with a cursory glance and run about. NUC 7i5, 8GB RAM, 6K albums, 88K tracks, Qobuz and 1TB local.

I think my library would be considered pretty modest. 17736 total tracks (9866 local tracks, 7870 Qobuz tracks).

Ah, no @vova . I added one new album to my collection while playing the music and the very next track to play took a while to load, causing the waveform to throb back and forth until the track loaded. Subsequent tracks started to randomly take more time to load after that…So adding music starts somet…
