I can’t get Roon to work with OOYH on my Windows 10 PC. The PC is a controller, the server is on a Windows 10 miniPC. Roon works on all the other outputs I have (Sonos, Apple Homepod, Dragonfly Red, et al). Roon works great with OOYH on my iMac. Tidal will see OOYH as a virtual sound device and works fine on the PC. Roon also sees OOYH as a virtual sound device, but when it is selected and I click on play, the only thing that happens is a fast visual scroll through the songs in the album I try to play. Any audio device that is attached to the PC that OOYH is running on will show the same behavior, but if I chose an external device, say my iMac, Roon will play on that device.
Hello @Calvin_LaBauve,
There are some configuration steps required to get OOYH working properly with Roon on Windows. Check out this link for further information

None of that works, unfortunately.
I recommend you contact the author of the plugin and relay this information to them. Since we do not officially support their plugin, I can only work within the parameters of our own settings and configuration to help. If you’re able to get this issue resolved or make some progress with some troubleshooting this issue from the vendor, I invite you to reply to this thread with an update so other users can know about it!

I had the same experience. Went through the various steps several times and never was able to get it to work.
I’ll try it out on a Mac since it looks so intriguing.
I have always had trouble running Roon on a Mac with Mojave. Initially, I installed OOYH on an iMac that supported digital output via the headphone jack. After a while, the music got distorted and then just stopped playing. This appears to be a well known problem.
Go to https://fongaudio.com/ and scroll down the page where you see the word FRIDAY in a large font and beneath it is a macOS workaround for USB Dacs. I’ll get back to this later.
On my iMac , becaue of the distortion and the workaround was not yet published, I used the digital output of my iMac to feed the SPDIF input of my headphone amp. Everything worked like a charm: all distortion gone.
Next, I purchased a Mac mini and moved Roon and all my files to it. I decided to use the headphone jack (as on my iMac) and to my surprise, the headphone output does not support digital output. So I am forced to using a USB connection which distorts. I tried the suggested workarounds without any success.
To bypass my DACs, I hooked up a pair of headphones to the Mac mini’s headphone jack and it distorted too. No USB in this scenario.
Has anyone else encountered problems like these and found a solution? the Mac mini was bought exclusively for Roon so moving Roon back to the iMac is not an option.
Yes I have been in contact with Darin but there is ni resolution.
Any advice/guidance is appreciated.
Took a lot of courage for Apple to remove the digital output on MBPs, iMacs and Mac minis. I wonder how much money they saved,
