Roon and Linux and Mono

Hello

  • I think is a fantastic thing that my Roon back end can be completely Linux based. The Core and all bridges are happily Apple and Microsoft free.

  • I hear that Roon was developed using the Mono Framework - however, I am not sure if this is only the server/bridge components or also the GUI.

  • If indeed the GUI was developed using Mono, I wonder why we are are not provided a Linux GUI. I know people have had success running it under Wine, but it would be fantastic to have a “native” version of the GUI. So how do we go about making that formal request?

  • If this is not true about the GUI… then I guess moot point… :smiley:

Its been made for years in the Feature Request section. Search there and add your +1 to one of the existing threads.
