roon core on mac mini. roon arc has been functioning on my android phone since it launched. Have been having ongoing issues with VERY sluggish queue loading so the advice was to delete and reinstall, so I had done this as I had done before in the past (it gets very laggy with loading Queue lists. Deleted and reinstalled but the app then didn't open. First time this happened. Just crashes the first time and now on 2nd reopen it just hangs on the logo screen. So I can no longer use Arc.
Hi @Peter_Northcott,
Thanks for writing in to ask us about this issue. I think the next step here is to enable some diagnostics on your account so our technical staff can get some more insight into what’s going on here.
However, before I enable this feature, I’d like to ask for your help ensuring we gather the right information.
First, can you please reproduce the issue once more and note the time at which the error occurs. Then respond here with that time, and I’ll make sure we review the diagnostics related to that timestamp.
It looks like unfortunately, your device is not able to respond to remote diagnostics requests, it may be crashing before it’s able to communicate with our servers. Have you by any chance tried to delete the app, reboot your device, and then try to install it again? Also, can you please confirm make, model and operating system version of the device?
The only main difference here is that updates won’t automate to the device, you’ll need to manually download and install the updated .Apk app.
That said, when we release our next update, it would be good to test out downloading and installing Arc from your respective Play Store again to see if you run into similar issues.
Until then, I’m happy to hear the .Apk version is working for you! I’ll go ahead a close this thread for now. If you run into similar issues with the next Arc update, certainly let us know.
