Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· My iPad quits the Roon app as soon as it loads. It’s quite an old iPad running iOS 12.4.8 but I like to use it as a dedicated remote control that can be passed amongst guests. Is it too old for the app?

If you could, it would be useful to review a fresh set of Roon iOS mobile logs from the issue iPad.

Can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!

Hi Benjamin,

I tried this but couldn’t find any log files. Looking in the iOS Files app there didn’t seem to be anything new.

Thanks for the update. After further analysis, we believe you’re experiencing a known issue for older iOS versions and Roon, here is a tracking thread on the subject:

As mentioned in the above thread, we now believe we may have found a potential solution for these devices, though it will be one that would not allow further updates to the latest version of Roon. This solution needs some changes on our side first, so there isn’t anything more specific we can share yet.
