I just installed 2.56 (Build 1582) on Mac OS 26.0.1.
If I have a track playing and click an upcoming album icon in the Queue to inspect it, it crashes the Roon App running on the Mac (though the music continues to play). I did notice that this only happens on the same Mac that’s also running the Roon Server. The Roon app crashes, but the Server continues playing the track. Other Roon Remote apps running on other Macs on the network do not experience the crash.
Oh also, it still hasn’t fixed the nagging problem of finding other Roon-ready devices on the network after a reboot, without needing to go into Mac OS Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → and toggling Roon and Roon Server Off & On.

The Roon remote app for Android recently started freezing when I am streaming a song, on the Now Playing screen, and I click on the Album art in an attempt to go the album tracks and information. The app freezes with the message "Loading album..." Once it freezes I have to close the app and reopen it. However, I found if I navigate to some other screens such as the Home screen, then return to Now Playing and then click on the Album Art it works.
When using the Roon web app on a PC Windows 10, I am also experiencing an issue for this same scenario however, it does not freeze but instead the web app simply closes. But navigating in this situation prior to clicking on the Album Art on the Now Playing screen doesn't seem to solve the issue as it does on the Android app; the app continues to close.
Neither issue happens all of the time, it is sporadic but seems to happen 75% of the time lately.

My router is provided by my Internet provider, Optimum and it is a Gateway 5. I have my Roon server on a MacBook Pro with a Apple M1 Pro chip, 16 GB of memory. My MacBook Pro uses WiFi, not an ethernet connection. It passes through a BACCH-dSP software and then into my DAC and then to Marantz SR8015 AVR.
I use a Samsung Galaxy S24 for the Android Roon app and a Windows 11 HP laptop for the Roon web app.
I haven't changed anything for some time, and this issue seems to have started after the last Roon update.
Roon Remote app freezing and closure when accessing album art

Posting just to mention that I have the same issue as the OP.
Android App version (2.56 build 1576) locks up when clicking on the playing songs Album Art picture. The intent was for this click to take me to the actual album where the song is sourced from. Now I get a locked up App and must close it. Upon reopening the App I get a message stating “Error loading saved page”.
I think it only happens on albums being streamed from QoBuz…or at least that is where it seems to happen most often in my case.
As a side note, the Android App seems to move like molasses these days. Not sure its being given the love it deserves in terms of update fixes.
The recent update didn’t include a fix for this new issue - sorry if there was any confusion there!
Since our team was able to reproduce the issue internally and we already have a ticket open with our development team to address it, there aren’t any next steps needed from you at this time. SINCE ROON UPDATE 2.56 problems with remote when clicking on album playing link
When I click on the album link Roon stops working completely on my Windows 11 pc’s (I tried this on three different PC’s). Before the update this function worked perfect for as long as I can remember.
Roon remote stops working completely and disappears. After restarting the app and playing the album again clicking the link makes the problem happening again…

I think I run into the same (similar?) issue on my Roon Remote running on MacOS. Clicking the link outlined in red below crashes Roon Remote every time. It is fully replicable.

Noticed the same issues here this morning. Bringing up the now playing screen is fine but clicking on the album cover shows loading album then the remote crashes. Restarting the remote bring up a screen with “Error loading saved page”. Happening on Windows and IPAD remotes.
Updated this evening to the latest versions of roon and now whenever I search for tracks the search list comes up however if I click the track the mac crashes while on my android the page stalls at loading album
Thanks for the additional reports here. We are aware of and working on this issue, we currently have a fix in Early Access testing, and it will make its way to Production. If anyone wishes to try our Early Access and provide us feedback if the fix works as expected, it would be appreciated. Thanks!
Tried the Windows installer on one of my Windows 11 PC’s (25H2 and up to date). Now running remote 2.57. First attempts at clicking album URL’s were ok. (i.e. no crashes this time).
So far so good.
