Day 2 test: earlyaccess still doing what it was supposed to do. (only tested the remote crashes. That is now OK; I did not test for other things as they did not affect me). ![]()
Hi there, if I try to search on my m4 macbook pro, or click on any of the search history the mac client crashes and force closes. Is this happening to anyone else?
You are not alone. Try to find the beta update 2.57. It will help. My only problem now is playing 192khz files via usc to dac.

I have try to find I’ll Take Care of You from Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart than clicked to result in list than Roon app crashed and disappear. I have do the search second time with same result. I have to try open all results then click to link - Roon still crashed.
The music would accessible and playable only when I have opened the album using artist direct access by link from artist page without using the search results.
After I opened the artist page first time - search result hasn’t reproduced crash experience.
The logs from MAC shows exception by access to NULL pointer.

Hmm…
I had exactly the same experience tonight on Windows. I was searching for “grimaud masur” and Roon crashed when I clicked on the first item on the list. When I reopened Roon, there was a message that said the album could not be found. I repeated the search and it crashed again. I finally opened the album by going to the artist discography, and afterwards doing the same search no longer crashed.
Same here since last week. Also when I am playing a song and click the album, Roon crashes. I reopen it, click the album, it crashes again.

Hi @Gordon_Taylor,
The team has a ticket investigating a crash matching the description you’ve shared.
There’s currently a fix undergoing testing in the #earlyaccess category:
If you’re interested in testing the fix, you can migrate your RoonServer and Remotes by following these instructions:
Alternatively, you can wait until the next Roon update, which should contain the fix.

Describe the issue
Room iOS app (not ARC), new bug: Clicking on a track in a search or playlist listing crashes the app. Every time. Clicking the same track in an album works. Clicking on artists or albums among the search results works. (I.e. a workaround is to search for the track, note the album, search for it and enqueue the track from that view.)
Describe your network setup
Not really relevant for this issue, but UniFi wifi between iPhone and network, then wired Gbps-network. Roon server is an old Mac-mini streaming to a Bluesound node device.
Thank you for your post.
The latest Early Access build contains a fix for an issue that loosely matches the description of the symptom you’ve reported.
If you’d like to test the fix, you can follow the instructions in this article to migrate your server and remotes to Early Access:
Otherwise, you can simply wait until the next Roon update, which should include the fix.

Describe the issue
Since recently, Roon crashes when I click on the album link in the Now Playing window. It happened already several times and it never happened all the years before.
Describe your network setup
1Gbps fiber into FritzBox 5530 via ethernet cable through Netgear gigabit switch via ethernet cable into docking station of the PC. Roon Server also connected via ethernet cable to the same switch. I have no network issues otherwise.
