Roon app crashing and Tidal playlists not showing/playing (ref#DBS5I9)

Description of Issue

The Roon app keeps crashing. I have a 2022 model MacBook Pro and Room is installed. It keeps showing fatal error message. Then even if I make it work there are times when the playlists from Tidal not showing or nor playing saying they are not available. If I use the Tidal app directly they are all available.

Thanks for your message. Are you still seeing the issue at the present time? What kind of fatal error message are you seeing, can you share a screenshot? You can try to reinstall Roon using the below instructions if you’d like to start fresh:

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup
