Hey @k0chka8877,

Thanks for sharing your report, sorry to hear you’re having issues getting Roon Server to open!

As a quick next step, let’s see if clearing the database cache may help:

  • Exit out of Roon
  • Find and open your Roon database
  • Navigate to Roon/Cache
  • Move the contents of the /Cache folder elsewhere, like your desktop
  • Try restarting Roon and verify if the issue still occurs

Hi! I did it, but it didn’t work.
I put this folder back

Hi @k0chka8877,
I activated diagnostics on your server and logs indicate that your server is behaving normally so let’s see if reinstalling the Roon client helps your situation. Please try the below steps and let us know if it works.

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup

Hi I did this right away and it didn’t help. I uninstalled everything related to roon downloaded and installed again and it didn’t help(

Hi! I still can’t get in, can you please help?

Hi @k0chka8877,

Thanks for the update! Can you please verify that all your Roon devices are running on the same local subnet within your network? Based on your server information, your machine may be running multiple subnets, which wont work with Roon.

With that, we’re seeing repeated Trace: [.NET ThreadPool Worker] [broker/accounts] network reachability changed. refreshing traces that could be playing a role in your failure to connect.

Can you please reboot your router, and make sure you have a direct ethernet connection from your PC directly to your router, bypassing all other network gear?

I’d also review your PC firewall settings. Since you are using a Windows PC, I would verify that both Roon.exe and RAATServer.exe have been added as exceptions to your Windows firewall.

You can use these instructions to add the exceptions and the executables themselves would be located in your Database Location/Application folder path.

I would also add these exceptions to any Antivirus or other Firewall blocking applications you may have and ensure that you connected to your network via a Private network, not a Public one, see this guide for more information.

Hi, thanks for the tips but it doesn’t help, let me know what I’m doing wrong. By the way, I could be wrong but I think the problem started after I bought a subscription to oneDrive for windows 10

Hi @k0chka8877,

That shouldn’t cause much of an issue, unless you’ve set onedrive to create Roonbackups. Is this the case?

Have you tested out completely disabling your windows firewall temporarily? Do you have any additional antivirus or security software active on the machine?

If you could please use the directions found here and send over a set of Roon logs (not Roon Server) to our File Uploader?

Thank you! :raised_hands:
